Its half past 2010 and Pakistan has been hit by many natural disasters so far this year:
Landslides and Floods — Jan 2010
Landsliding causes flood in Attabad and leaves many died, many homeless.
Avalanche — Feb 2010
Kohistan avalanche costs scores of lives.
Attabad Lake disaster — 2010
Landsliding resulting into a huge lake formed by melting of glaciers leaves hundreds of effectees behind; many settlements submerged.
Cyclone — June 2010
Cyclone in Arabian Sea hits coastal ares of Pakistan.
Heat Wave — 2010
Record breaking heat wave in Pakistan this year… Fifty-four year record broken of extreme heat in plain areas of Punjab.

Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran and Pakistan top a new ranking of countries at “extreme risk” of experiencing natural disasters according to the human impact of natural disasters in terms of deaths per annum and per million of population, plus the frequency of events as well as the likelihood of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, storms, flooding, droughts, landslides, extreme temperatures and epidemics.
